Text Box: Letter from the President Welcome! I am excited to address you in our first newsletter and look forward to communicating with you on a regular basis. For several years, I have been working to build a team of forward thinking, successful individuals to create a local organic meat processing plant for our local farmers. To our investors I feel that you are the most important part of this team, because without capital, this would still only be a great idea. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for having the confidence to believe in the board and me by investing in Family Farmers Meats. To our board members We have been successful in keeping on schedule with our goals and activities. The board has been meeting about every other week. I know that in our striving to make this processing plant a reality, our meetings and planning have taken away from your personal lives. Each of you has shown a deep, personal commitment to making our mission a reality. Thank you. These are exciting times. We have had two successful informational investment meetings-one in Mattoon, IL and the other in Chicago, IL. Midwinter, we plan to have an open board meeting with current investors so that everyone has a chance to get acquainted. We will enjoy some good Family Farmer food –a taste of what the future holds. You make a difference In closing, I would like to thank everyone again as we begin what I think will be a long and prosperous relationship. Together, we can make a big difference—providing healthful food to the consumer, better care for the animals, support for the small farmer, and a great return on individual investments of time and money.
